Likes: Long walks on beaches. Okay, really.. short walks. Hearing my wife, Ro's laughter. Hiking a hill. Getting deep into a forest. Waking up at only midnight, thinking it's probably 4am.

Dislikes: Drivers going slow in the LEFT lane. I mean, c'mon people! The sign says "Stay right except to pass"! Grrrr.

Desert Island Discs: Carbon Leaf "Indian Summer", James McMurtry "Where'd You Hide The Body", Anything from Dave Matthews Band. Lyle's "Live in Texas" and, the old Barry Manilow live from '78 or so. Wha?? I'm a sucker for divas.
 
River bands that I love:  Lyle Lovett. Barenaked Ladies! The most fun you can have at a concert. Matt Nathanson. Dave Matthews Band. Mellencamp. An indie band called Southern Culture On The Skids.
 
Favorite all-time movies: "The Princess Bride", Python's "Holy Grail", "Die Hard(s)", and I'm still a sucker for that ending on "Sixth Sense". Pretty much anything with Steve Martin.

TV shows I'll admit to watching: CMT's "Trick My Truck". An MTV ripoff of "Pimp My Ride", but applied to 18-wheeler truckers. West Wing.

Favorite Foods: My bar-b-que on the back porch. Crock pot roasts. I love leaving it in the cooker in the morning, and coming back to the house at the end of the day to that irresistable smell.
 
Hobbies and interests: Jogging. I've completed 2 marathons in my life. Volunteer firefighter and EMT. Riding my motorcycle. Hospice volunteer work.
 
Favorite Spokane hangouts: The Viking, right by the radio station. Centennial trail.

Family: Rachel, Matt and Kadey Rose. And the love of my life, Rochelle.
 
Pets in the house: Toby, our dog. And a new one..DAVE!  Truthfully? I don't have much luck picking animals. Dave was supposed to be a "Boxer/Lab" mix. No..he has Pit in him. He's a little unruly at the moment. (Not pictured being unruly.)

I have a cat named "Ass". It's a long way to get there, but "Ass" started as Kadey's little kitten named Sparkle. Then it became Sparkle Ann. Then Sparkle Angeles. Fat Angeles. Faj. Fajalina Jolie. Fat Ass. Then.. just Ass. And another cat we adopted named Pedro. 



Toby is quite cool. 



 
Best concerts: I was priveleged to see the Eagles reunite before they actually announced they were getting back together. Don Henley was solo, but took a break, and invited his friend Glen Frey to come out on stage.
THEN, it was Timothy B. Schmidt. . and voila'!! A bona-fied "pre-Hell Freezes Over" concert! Other concerts I've enjoyed include the Barenaked Ladies (their last Spokane appearance at the Opera House was incredible!) and Lyle Lovett at the Greyhound Park/Post Falls. I was very lucky to catch Dave Matthews at a club the size of The Met in Vancouver, BC. Never again, obviously.

Best Rock Star/Celebrity moment: Meeting Lars from Metallica, and being amazed at his humble attitude. He and the rest of the band spent an amazing amount of time with EVERY fan backstage (about 50). AND, meeting Kevin Tighe. WHO? The guy who played Roy DeSoto on EMERGENCY! Spent an hour with him while on a Bellingham radio station. Kevin is a spokesperson for one of my favorite charities. Hospice.

Cities I like (besides Spokane): Queenstown, New Zealand. Just visited there on my honeymoon with Ro. An incredibly beautiful country. Bellingham, WA. Cool little town in this state. Easton, WA. It's the little town just before you go over Snoqualmie Pass on I-90. I like that town because of "Mountain High Hamburgers". Delicious burgers and my favorite milkshake anywhere.

First job: Delivering newspapers. And I actually got a radio job in Anacortes, WA on my 15th birthday!

First car: Red Ford Galaxy. Wasn't too bad.
 
Current Car: A jeep!

If I wasn’t in radio, I’d...  be a Firefighter/EMT. There's something about the 'on the spot' lifesaving decisions that must be made, and DOING those actions.

Here's something even my mother doesn't know about me...  I was once arrested. For an unpaid speeding ticket. Left it unpaid so long that it became a bench warrant. Got pulled over for .. (okay, so I forget/procrastinate) .. expired tabs. Got cuffed an placed in the back of the cop car for a few minutes. Read me my rights and everything!
