The Young Dubliners is an Irish rock band. Their repertoire consists largely of Irish folk songs and Irish pop with a rock twist: "The Pogues meets Van Halen", as the Los Angeles press once described their sound. Their influences include The Pogues, Waterboys and U2. It is also likely that they were inspired by the success of Hothouse Flowers, whose members included a college-era friend of Young Dubliners cofounder, Keith Roberts, and their live shows featured numerous Hothouse Flowers in the late 1980s and early 1990s.
They'll be at the Big Easy June 24. Get your tickets through ticketswest.com
